FAQ
Why are your cabinets and sideboards crafted from mango wood?
Our cabinets and sideboards are made from solid mango wood rather than MDF or veneer, providing a more durable structure with natural grain variation. This extends to internal shelving and drawer components, not just the exterior.
Mango wood is a hardwood that is derived from trees that have reached the end of their fruit-bearing life, with new trees planted in their place. This approach supports more responsible sourcing, while retaining the durability and structure of solid hardwood.

What are sideboards and cabinets used for?
Sideboards and cabinets are used for storing larger household items while keeping living spaces organised. They are commonly used in living rooms and dining areas for tableware, books, or general storage, but can also work in hallways, bedrooms, or home offices, depending on the layout.
They offer a combination of enclosed storage and surface space, making them useful for both practical storage and the display of everyday items.
How do I choose the right finish?
The right finish depends on how the sideboard or cabinet will be used and the look you want to achieve. Lighter finishes tend to highlight the wood's natural grain, while darker tones can add contrast within a room. For furniture used regularly and in high-traffic areas, it’s also worth considering finishes that are more forgiving to everyday marks. Each item can be hand-painted using our custom design service or stained to a custom colour.
If you’re unsure, we’ve put together a more detailed guide on selecting the right stain for your furniture, or you can get in touch for tailored advice. We’re always happy to help.
Why are some cabinets and sideboards made-to-order?
Some of our furniture is crafted to order rather than held in large stock. This allows pieces to be made more intentionally in line with demand, rather than mass-produced in advance.
Producing in this way helps reduce unnecessary overproduction while maintaining the same designs, materials and build quality across the collection.
Do your cabinets and sideboards require assembly?
Items are delivered either fully assembled or with minimal assembly required, depending on the design. No products are supplied flat pack, helping to reduce setup time.
How does your custom design service work?
Our Custom Design Service allows you to adjust dimensions, finishes and storage functions, legs, hardware and more to suit your space. This can be useful when working with specific room sizes or storage needs.
